Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 2026
SwipenHire is operated by SwipenHire ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Account details: email address and a securely hashed password (we never store your actual password).
- Profile details you choose to add: name, headline, skills, experience, photos, logos, CV/résumé, links and preferences.
- Activity needed to run the service: swipes, matches, messages, reviews, reports and blocks.
- Payments: the package, amount and status. Card, e-wallet and bank details are handled by our payment provider and never touch our servers.
- Basic technical data: time zone (for daily free swipes) and when you were last active.
How we use it
- To show your profile or job listings to the other side of the marketplace and create matches.
- To deliver messages and notifications, process Swipe Credit purchases, and keep the community safe (moderation, fraud and spam prevention).
- We don't sell your personal data.
Who can see what
Your profile is visible to signed-in users on the other side (employers see talent profiles, talent see job listings and company pages). Messages are visible only to the two people in a match and, when a message is reported, to our moderation team.
How long we keep it
- Notifications are deleted automatically after 180 days.
- When you delete your account, your profile, uploads and personal details are erased straight away. Payment and credit records are kept in anonymised form because accounting law requires it.
Your choices
- Download your data: Profile → Account & security → Download my data.
- Delete your account: Profile → Account & security → Delete account.
- Email notifications: can be turned off on your profile.
Service providers
We use trusted companies to run SwipenHire, only for the purposes above: hosting and database (Render), email delivery (Plunk), photo and file storage (Cloudinary), payments (our payment provider), protection against bots (Cloudflare) and error reports. They may process data outside the Philippines under appropriate safeguards.
Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 you can ask to see, correct, download or delete your personal data, and object to how it's used. Most of this you can do yourself in the app; for anything else, contact us below. You can also complain to the National Privacy Commission.
Security
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, sessions can be signed out on every device, and access to data is limited to what each role needs.
